We use the latest W3 Consortium statistics
for browser, platform, display & color depth to gauge how your site
should be developed. During the pre-development stages, we ask a lot of techy sounding questions about your target audience(s).
Then, we discuss our recommendations
with you about how we think the site should be built.
Why are web statistics important?
Web statistics play a significant
role in determining how a web site should be created. We gather information
about how your audience(s) may view your site and design according to those
specifications. This does not mean there are set boundaries for design
specs–it's more like aiming for the best viewing scenario range and applying it to your site.
Here's an example: a site constructed to target a teen audience in
the UK using outdated Mac's with OS Way-Old.0 on a 28.8K dial-up would be
created differently than a web site built to attract New York business executives
operating new Dell notebooks on a T-1 connection. Capiche?
