Contract work for Sitelab: WD-40.comCould you ask for anything more? The WD-40 site is dear to our hearts. The Spike Likes lead designer, (while at Sitelab), was the original artist for the WD-40 site so our history with the site extends waaaaaay back to year 2000. Playful, funny and exciting, this site has grown over the years to become one of the best, all-time, mostest-favoritest projects. The WD-40 site started off with only three products: WD-40, 3-IN-ONE and Lava. Today, the brand family has tripled to include Spot Shot, 2000 Flushes, X-14, 3-IN-ONE Pro, Lava Pro and Carpet Fresh. Each new brand needed it's own landing page.
As the site grew, more work needed to be developed and came in the form
of sweepstakes, special online promotions and announcements, the WD-40
Pro Tips web site, the WD-40 Fan Club and WD-40
Fan Forum e-newsletters. WD-40 Fan Club? YES! WD-40 has a rockin'
fan club that has over 100K members. Fannntastic.side bar: for awhile after the WD-40 site was launched when someone in the Sitelab office would leave for lunch, the finger, (shown left), would mysteriously appear in that person's chair often making its way from chair to chair! Naturally, all kinds of exclamations would occur upon its discovery. A personal favorite was, "HEY! Who gave me the finger?!" |
