was the surprise site of the MapMyFitness family. Why?
Because we initially thought it was going to be a tough nut to crack...
the
target audience for MapMyWalk is huge. Keeping in mind the primary
jewel tones and secondary hot colors utilized in the previous sites,
MapMyWalk ventures towards a softer approach and yet...
We Decided to Take a Risk
Our lead designer wrapped the look and feel in violets and merlots.
Then, introduced a tangy orange and a candy (M&M) blue for the secondary
palette. Starts to sound delicious, doesn't it? Part of the palette's inspiration
came from popular cuisine on and off-line materials. The MapMyWalk concept
was presented to the MapMyFitness team and finalized in one round. Nut–
cracked.
