Run Ride Tri Walk Hike

MapMyFitness LLC
When the MapMyFitness team came to us with initial thoughts for the MapMyRun site overhaul we thought, "THIS IS AMAZING!" and internally nicknamed the project "the amazing idea" aka "snowball." Why snowball? Read the project details or click the mini screens below.

MapMyRun turned out to be like the starting line for the entire family of web sites and ultimately established how components would be treated on each site. By the way, when we began MapMyRun we had no idea the other sites were in the works.

By the time MapMyRun was in full swing the MapMyFitness team announced 4 upcoming sites to us – whuh? – Ride, Tri, Walk and Hike came strutting in. MapMyRide was the first to be re-skinned and proved to be a terrific challenge. Oh, how we love a good challenge.

When we began working on MapMyTri we made a shift in our perception. Each MapMyFitness site has the ability to stand alone, but we saw the potential to develop relationships through the use of color, language and imagery to create one, massive web presence.
MapMyWalk.comMapMyWalk.com
Originally, we thought MapMyWalk was going to be the toughest site to work on because the audience base is so broad. Funny how things turn out...Walk was completed in one round.
MapMyHike.com MapMyHike.com
The last of the bunch to be created was MapMyHike. A favorite amongst our team, (along with Ride), because Spike likes to hike and bike...in case you were wondering what Spike Likes.

The MapMyFitness Family

Let the Pluralizing Begin!

Within a few weeks, we were asked to 'pluralize' all the work completed to date. What is pluralizing in web speak?

Pluralizing means creating logo-S, not just logo, and an assortment of sophisticated 'skins' for MapMyRide, MapMyWalk, MapMyTri and MapMyHike. The scope of the project began to grow to the boggle point. Logos were everywhere! Rich email stationery needed to be thoughtfully created, print / electronic business cards and gobs of clever banners ads too! Now, THAT's a snowball! top
