Designs recently assembled a small group of web developers from across
the U.S. to build a fresh new web site for Clark Street Development.
Spike Likes was selected from the competition to provide the graphical
look and feel for the interface. It's not every day the Spike Likes
team is given the opportunity to present more than 2 different concepts
to a single client, but Clark Street asked and we delivered.
Why was Concepting for Clark Street Exciting?
Well, they had a logo, and that's about it. This is great for us because it means the web site has the potential to lead the branding way for the company and gives us the opportunity to grapple with an even tougher challenge.
Cookie Bets
All a twitter, concept reveal day arrived and we put 'cookie' bets on
which concept we thought they'd like. Clark Street chose the long shot,
really rough, third concept to be the winner, but wanted aspects of
concept #1 and concept #2 integrated or mished-mashed into the final
version. It is not uncommon for clients to like parts and pieces of
each concept and ultimately have us Mr. Potato Head our way to the end
result a.k.a.
the masterpiece.
